The Family Center is “Making Time for YOUR Family” in many creative ways. Keep an eye out for our Family Craft Nights, visits from our friends at Creative Art League of Jessamine County, Family Music Night (second Saturday each month) and other special Arts programming.
Family Craft Night
During Night Owls Time! once a month
Thursday 6:15pm – 7:45pm
Join our Night Owls once a month for high quality seasonal crafts. Fun for all ages!
Family Music Night
1st Saturday of the Month
5:00 – 8:00pm
Join us for a night of music for the whole family! Each session is geared toward a different age group.
Mini Music (Infant-2 years)
This group is geared towards caregiver and baby (moms, dads, grandparents, nanny, etc) Come for a unique bounding experience with your child while you both discover the fun of music!
Singing Stars (3-8yrs)
Children will have a blast exploring music through sounds, dances, instruments, books and their own voices! Music Therapy groups are unique in that we work on non-musical skills as well as musical ones. Come and watch your child grow their spacial reasoning, social skills, sustained attention, school skills and much more while they develop musically. Caregivers are encouraged to participate!
Music Wellness for Caregivers
Come take half an hour to relax, unwind, and enjoy some bounding time with other caregivers. Self care is important for those of us who are constantly caring for others! Some activities may include muscle relaxation, mindfulness activities, drum circles, safe-place guided imagery and more. Come and see what music therapy can do for you!

Spectrum Musicians (5-18)
This group is developed to meet the unique needs of peoples with disabilities, geared specifically towards Autism Spectrum Disorder, but all are welcome. SIBLINGS ESPECIALLY. In this group we will address common goals and skill development while adapting activities to meet the needs of everyone involved, encouraging socialization, connection, and just overall fun!
$10 per family with FREE Music Wellness for Caregivers Class afterward. Stay and find ways for music to help YOU relax, unwind and destress. Must register for your slot. LIMITED TO ONLY 10 participants!
Courtney Catron received her bachelors in music education from Asbury University. Courtney taught elementary music for six years in Jessamine and Scott County before pursing her masters from the University of Kentucky and receiving board certification in music therapy.
